Most people describe the sensation as similar to a rubber band snapping during treatment. However, this sensation immediately resolves once the treatment is complete.
Typically 3 to 6 treatments are needed, spaced approximately 4 to 8 weeks apart. Hair grows in three stages, so multiple treatments will be needed.
Yes, tanned skin can be treated. However, always inform your provider if you have been tanning, using tanning products, or have experienced prolonged exposure to the sun within the last three weeks of your appointment. Your provider will then adjust your treatment regimen accordingly to give you the safest and most effective experience.
Some redness and slight swelling may be present in the treated area. However, this should subside within a few hours. If any prolonged redness or swelling occurs, please consult your provider immediately. Keep the treated area clean, use at least an SPF 15 when outdoors, and follow provider instructions carefully.
Post-Treatment Care
After a BAREit treatment, your provider will recommend a mineral-based sunscreen for your skin.
